Awesome Low Carb Burger FTW!

I can’t imagine that people who don’t like burgers exist. I sure don’t know any. Whether it’s veggie or meat burgers my gang of people hoovers it!

Today I made a new kind of Burger Buns with cheese in it and it turned out really soft and nice (but if you want a dairy free option you can find it here)! With this burger I also made a Truffle Mayonnaise. Now, it sounds all flashy and pretentious but it’s really not, especially since I actually prefer the store bought mayonnaise to the homemade one.

Ingredients
  1. 700 g (24 oz) minced beef
  2. 1/2 yellow onion
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1,5 tsp grind garlic
  5. 0,5 tsp salt
  6. pepper
  7. cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. Chop onions into small pieces.
  2. Mix everything together.
  3. Fry on medium heat, 2-4 minutes on each side depending on how you liked it cooked. Only turn once.
  4. A minute before you remove the burger from the pan, add the cheese to allow it to melt a little bit.

Low Carb Cheesy Burger Breads

Ingredients
  1. 3 eggs
  2. 1 dl (0,4 cups) unsweetened almond milk
  3. 3 drops of liquid honey
  4. 2 dl grated cheese
  5. 2 tbsp psyllium husk
  6. 2,2 dl (0,9 cup) almond flour
  7. 2 tsp baking powder
  8. large pinch of salt
  9. 1 tbsp butter
  10. sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200 C (392 F) hot air (if not hot air add 25 C/77 F).
  2. Whisk eggs with electric mixer until they are REALLY fluffy.
  3. Add almond milk and make a quick whisk to blend it.
  4. Add all other ingredients and blend together, let the batter sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Use hot water on your hands and then roll the batter into buns of your choosing.
  6. Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Stays in oven about 20 minutes.

Truffle Mayonnaise

  1. 1 dl (0,42 cups) Hellmans mayonnaise (of course you can do the same with homemade mayonnaise)
  2. 2 tsp truffle oil
  3. 1 pinch of salt

  1. Mix everything together.
